Delivery policy
Our delivery policy is informed, inter-alia by Section 19 of the CPA. We strive to ensure that goods are delivered within reasonable time frames, normally between 2-7 days after the conclusion of the transaction. However, unique handmade products may take up to 3 weeks to deliver. We will deliver the goods to your doorsteps on the agreed date and at the agreed time, subject to the payment of a reasonable delivery fee, which fee is dependent on distance. The average delivery fee is R85.00.
(i) Passing of the risk
Goods to be delivered remain at our risk until you have accepted delivery of them. You will be regarded to have accepted delivery of the goods on the earliest of the following circumstances:
(a) When you expressly or implicitly communicate to us that you have accepted delivery of the goods; or
(b) when the goods have been delivered to you, and—
(i) you do anything in relation to the goods that would be inconsistent with our ownership of them; or
(ii) after the lapse of a reasonable time, you retain the goods without intimating to us that you have rejected delivery of them (after having had an opportunity to inspect them and being satisfied with inter-alia their quality).
If we tender the delivery of goods at a location, on a date or at a time other than as agreed with you, you may either—
(a) accept the delivery at that location, date and time;
(b) require the delivery at the agreed location, date and time, if that date and time have not yet passed; or
(c) cancel the agreement without penalty, treating any delivered goods as unsolicited goods in accordance with section 21 of CPA.
If we deliver a larger quantity of goods than you purchased, you may either—
(a) reject all of the delivered goods; or
(b) accept delivery of the goods, and—
(i) pay for the agreed quantity at the agreed rate; and
(ii) treat the excess quantity as unsolicited goods in accordance with section 21 of CPA.
If we deliver some of the goods we agreed to supply mixed with goods of a different description not contemplated in our agreement with you, you may—
(a) accept delivery of the goods that are in accordance with our agreement and reject the rest; or
(b) reject all of the delivered goods.
